New Year New Beginnings New Improvement to Life

Share/Bookmark
This has been a huge year for me personally. I feel like I experienced ten years of personal growth in one 12 month period. I learned a lot about life, business and happiness and I wanted to share some of the lessons I’ve learned with you.

Be Open Minded and Happy – Make sure to be open minded and non-judgmental. This is easier said than done sometimes. Question your beliefs, are they really worth fighting for? I learned from a very special friend the importance of feeling free. He taught me to follow my heart because it will never steer me wrong. I’ve learned that it’s the best road map in the world.

Pursue Your Passion Every Single Day – If you can find your passion and make a living doing it, you’ll never work a day in your life. I don’t know who said that, but I love that quote. My passions are writing and helping people to relax. When I’m doing one of those two things, I’m in a state of joy. I want you to feel that too, find your passion and go for it!

Get Your Attitude in Check – There is always one of two things happening: Either you are in control of your attitude or your attitude is in control of you. Happiness comes from the inside out, not the other way around. Fake a smile if you have to, you’ll actually feel happier. I promise.

When You Think You Cannot Go Farther, Take a Few More Steps, You Can Do It
– You can always go farther in pursuing your dreams than you realize. I won’t go into detail here with my personal experience, but I will say that when you think you cannot go even one step farther, you can. You really can. Most people give up. You aren’t like most people. When you feel like you’ve reached the end, give it a little bit more. That little extra will carry you farther than your wildest dreams!

Be Love-able – I’ve learned that no matter how hard you try, you cannot force someone to love you or want to be with you. All you can do is love yourself and be a love-able person. The rest is up to the universe to figure out. Don’t bother yourself with the details, just be happy and all will work out as it should. Trust the process.

Appreciate the Miracles – This year, more than any other time, I’ve learned that there are a million miracles happening outside, in nature. Just open your front door and you can see a lot of them! It’s the most awe-inspiring realization. Just get in the moment and appreciate it. It’s the beauty of life that is right under our eyes, yet a lot of us miss it because we aren’t paying attention.

Reach Out and Touch Someone – Okay, this one might sound strange, but this year I’ve learned how to finally understand the importance of human contact. We all spend so much time online, which is great, but touching another person’s skin is very important. We are all made of flesh and blood and we crave contact with other people that are special to us, and that is a good thing.

With all these in mind. Let's look forward for a Brand New Improved Year of Abundance ahead!

Ong Ai Leng - Pretty Malaysian Girl

Share/Bookmark
It's hard not to notice her as we watch Irene Ong Ai Leng on Tv commercials (with jackie chan). She has a very pleasant look with presentable height, what's more she makes us envy her bust with her new advertisment for a beauty salon chain's bust enhancement treatment.

You may have seen the print as well as TV commercials featuring the two ladies dressed in fuss-free outfits but with one consistent, outstanding detail - an unadorned, plunging neckline. Ai Leng says:"I felt comfortable throughout the whole campaign process, doing it with Priscelia. It was kinda funny shooting the commercial, like having two women showing off their chests!" "I didn't mind trying this [treatment] out. It didn't require surgery," she quips noncommittally.

Her take on the matter is, er, firm. "I feel that breast enhancement is something you should do for yourself. It's not to impress other people. And I think it's important for women to take care of their boobs, like wearing the right bra size, making sure they don't lose their shape and firmness." she added.

Coming from a family where her sisters are unbelievably big [at the chest]," the self-confessed late-bloomer, used to be teased for being a fei ji chang (literally 'airport' in Mandarin, referring to a flat chest) must have experienced some kind of boob-envy. Apparently not. The former model "never had an issue with my chest. I never thought that they were too small or I'm not satisfied with them."

Rather, her love for bikinis may have had a part to play in inking the deal. "When you see girls who are well-endowed wearing bikinis, you naturally imagine what it'll be like if your chest was like that (laughs)." Her bra size has since increased from its previous B-cup after a few months' worth of treatment (which included massage and essential oils). In fact, she says it's "doubled to a D-cup. Which came as a bit of a shock, because you'd imagine the most they'll increase would be by one cup size. But that was a nice surprise!" she beams. "I texted my sister later that day, saying 'Eh, D-cup leh!' Haha!"

She won't be getting a brand new wardrobe to show off her fuller chest, though. "For the ads, the clothes were selected such the results are really noticeable. But in real life, I won't deliberately wear something revealing. Unless the occasion calls for it, I'm dressed casually like this (points to her striped tee-shirt)."
Clearly this is one gal who's comfortable with her body, which she describes as "proportionate". And, as we found out, the body part she likes most still aren't her twin peaks, instead it belongs to the lower section-her legs.

Everyone should adopt the same personality as her "someone that is comfortable with her body" and not someone who constantly complain about their thighs, breast, stomach. It will exlude confidence , it's not how you look but how you present yourself and personality counts big time as well.

Required to be thin ??

Share/Bookmark

I just read about this article from unisocclub.wordpress.com that in Pennsylvania, Lincoln University has added a new, unusual requirement for its students. In order to graduate from the academic institution, students must either have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of below 30 or they must take an additional fitness class which is not required by the student body’s thinner population. This extra course could increase time (and thus money) spent at the University for obese students.

And beyond that, the BMI isn’t even an accurate tool for measuring health or fitness practices. Some people eat very unhealthily and don’t exercise often, but have a fast metabolism, and thus would have a low BMI because the BMI only takes into account two variables–weight and height. The BMI does not take into account muscle mass, which makes me wonder, will student athletes be subject to the new ruling? After a quick look at their football roster, I have found multiple players with a BMI over 30. Furthermore, the school attacks those who are obese, and subjugates them to different treatment than those who are thin, but fails to address fitness problems such as eating disorders, yo-yo dieting, or over-exercising–all of which are unhealthy, yet are problems that may exist within bodies that “look healthy.”
Basically, I find the whole thing very unsettling. What do you think? Discuss.
Some celebrities and their BMIs. Looks like Sylvester Stallone would have to take an extra course if he went to Lincoln.
